Extruded aluminum powder coating. It has a Limited Lifetime Warranty and is virtually maintenance-free!
Can you give me an estimate over the phone?
Unfortunately, no. The proposed design and manufacturing that CMR Outdoor Living provides is 100% customized for you and your space.
Before we create a proposal for a prospective client, we prefer to visit their home and view the actual project space, take measurements, discuss what they would like and how they wish to utilize their outdoor area. This site visit allows CMR Outdoor Living to fully comprehend the client’s vision and gives our team member an opportunity to offer recommendations and options on materials or products, plus provide honest, knowledgeable, feedback – all while remaining mindful and respectful of the client’s budget.
How much is a Sunroom?
This is a common question, but a difficult one to answer because no two sunrooms are going to be built exactly the same. Many factors determine the cost such as foundation, where and how we would attach the room to your home, efficiency desired, local building code requirements, the amount of windows wanted, and your design ideas…meaning there’s no set cost for a sunroom.
In general, most sunrooms are less expensive than full-blown additions because it cuts down on build time, which saves on the labor cost.
What kind of Warranty does your Sunroom have?
We offer a Limited Lifetime Transferable Warranty on all of our sunrooms. That means, if you ever sell your home, the warranty will transfer to the new homeowner.
Can I add a Sunroom or Screen Room to my deck?
Yes, you can add these structures to your deck, but we may need to modify the deck structure to support the added weight of the room. Every situation is different, especially if the existing deck is older or has deteriorated.
How long does it take to install a Patio Cover or a Pergola?
Determining the amount of time that it takes to install a patio cover or pergola (or any of our maintenance-free products) is primarily based on size and how it is mounted. Typically, they can be installed in just a few days.
Can I stand on my Patio Cover?
Yes, you can! Our patio covers are strong enough to walk on and can sustain a Level 4 hurricane.
Are the Patio Covers loud when it rains?
Noise level can be subjective. To some, the sound of rain is soothing and enjoyable, but to others, it may not be. Is it loud? Not really, but just enough that it isn’t completely quiet.
Head on over to our patio cover page to listen to the video of it raining outside.
How much does a Pavilion or Patio Cover cost?
What determines the cost of a pavilion or patio cover is the size, style chosen, and how we install it.
An exact cost will depend on the style you choose, as well as how your property is laid out, but pavilions or patio covers are commercial-grade quality (thus built to last) and not from a kit or big box store. By choosing CMR Outdoor Living, you can be absolutely certain that you will get a high-quality product and expert installation for the price you pay.
What is the purpose of a Pergola?
A pergola is an outdoor structure designed to offer partial shade. A basic design has regularly spaced lattice beams that go from one side to the other of the frame. The pergola offers shade, but with significant gaps to allow light through, allowing for a bright, airy feel. Because it is aluminum, you can grow plants up and over the structure without the worry or hassle of maintaining a wood structure (like a wood pergola).
What is a “fixed” Pergola?
A traditional pergola is an outdoor structure with support columns beneath an ornamental lattice roof. In the case of a fixed pergola, these rafters or lattice beams do not move and remain in the same position all of the time. The design of a fixed pergola will always allow partial sunlight to filter through the roof, as well as rain and wind.
If you’re worried about upkeep, our pergolas are virtually maintenance-free, which is something that can’t be said about traditional structures made of wood and other materials.
How many different types of Pergolas do you offer?
We currently offer two different “fixed” styles and two different operable pergolas (aka louvered roofs). The fixed styles are squared shade tubes and curved lattice; the two operable pergolas are traditional style and modern style.
Each type of pergola offers its own features and benefits.
Which Pergola is best for you? Aluminum vs. Wood
When considering the material you want your pergola to be made from, it is best to do your thinking outside. Go stand in your current outdoor space and consider what aesthetic would best enhance the area. Perhaps you envision a particular color, or a modern – or rustic – vibe.
It is important to imagine yourself not only utilizing the space for fun and leisure, but to consider your tolerate for routine maintenance as well.
Although you may have great visions of spending a weekend every two years sanding and re-staining your wooden pergola, if your summer schedule is often hectic, you might find yourself slacking on the necessary upkeep that may vastly shorten the longevity of your investment.
If a quick pressure wash every now and then is more your style, then an aluminum pergola is the better choice. Aluminum pergolas are top quality, sophisticated, and will outlast a wooden structure – giving you more bang for your buck.
In the end, any pergola you choose is likely to become a permanent addition to your home, so you should make sure that you are completely happy with your decision before moving forward with the project.
What is your Pergola made from?
Our pergolas are constructed from fully extruded, heavy-duty aluminum. Each pergola is light weight and load bearing. The structures also have a stunning electrostatic finish that requires virtually no annual maintenance.
Plus, our pergolas are crack, peel, and warp-resistant and will never become infested with insects.
This means you get a beautiful structure without the time commitment or annoyance of a high maintenance structure, like wood, so you can enjoy it for many years.
How long will my Patio Cover/Pergola last?
Since our patio covers and pergolas are both stable and weatherproof, they can last much longer than conventional wooden structures. CMR Outdoor Living selects patio covers and pergolas crafted from premium-grade materials, so they will not rust or corrode like other brands. Also, they are built to endure, allowing them to withstand wind gusts of over 100 miles per hour.
No matter which style you choose, the products are backed by a warranty from the manufacturer, ensuring a beautiful, long-lasting structure that you can enjoy year-round.
What pavers do you utilize when building paver patios?
We use Unilock pavers. They are high quality pavers and offer a Lifetime Warranty.
What types of decks do you build?
Composite decks and pressure-treated decks. Each deck is custom built by CMR Outdoor Living’s field crew to best suit each client’s outdoor space and their individual preference.
Ninety-eight percent of the decks we build are composite decks. It is a durable, gorgeous aesthetic that is nearly maintenance-free and has a much longer lifespan than regular wooden decks.
Composite is a popular choice for many homeowners and deck owners nowadays. Composite is designed to look exactly as wood does; however, it is resistant to flaws such as peeling, cracking, fading, or splintering. Most composite decking material is created from sawdust, bonding materials, and plastic resins which help the wood resist natural deterioration and warping, generally caused by the sun or moisture.
Pressure-treated wood is a revolutionary type of wood that is often used in retaining walls, docks, coops, decks, and many other structures. This is a very durable wood that has shown to withstand the test of time better than untreated woods. Pressure-treated wood is durable in any decking or patio project you may have.
No matter where it is, regular wood will rot and deteriorate as time goes on. This is just the nature of organic matter. Insects will infest it, water will erode it, and sun exposure will eat away at it.
To help prevent this, wooden planks are placed in a pressure treatment facility. A liquid preservative is pumped into the chamber, allowing it to coat the wood and wood grain. Once this preservative is introduced, the chamber is then pressurized to force the liquid into the pores of the wood, helping ensure it is weather-resistant, insect-tolerant, and will deteriorate slower.
How long will it take to complete my project?
It depends on the scope of your project. Once your project is fully designed, however, we can offer a good estimate of completion time. Factors such as material availability or weather can cause an adjustment to our estimate, but you will be made aware of any changes to your schedule if they occur.
Can you create a concrete patio for my outdoor space?
Absolutely. CMR Outdoor Living is able to create your ideal space and utilize concrete to achieve that goal.
