A pergola is a fantastic addition to any home, but the discerning homeowner might want to take their pergola to the next level and incorporate a louvered roof. Louvered roofs, also known as operable pergolas, are a must-have for people who prefer a little more control over nature.
Rather than a permanently open roof, the slats of a louvered roof can be left open or closed, depending on your need for sun or shade. A louvered roof offers more flexibility in the use of your pergola, allowing you to make your environment more suited to your tastes. Being able to close the roof also provides added protection from the elements. If you’re outside relaxing or entertaining under your louvered roof and it starts to rain, simply close the roof for total protection – all with the push of a button!
You won’t have to worry about rain driving you indoors with a louvered roof. You can simply adjust the slats to remain safe and dry. No need to stress about the wind or snow either.
You will be getting professional grade materials that are rated to withstand heavy winds. The heavy-gauge extruded aluminum is built to withstand some of the most extreme weather that the Midwest has to offer, while being peel and crack resistant and virtually maintenance-free. Our louvered roofs also have a fade resistant finish to keep them looking beautiful year after year.
We offer two styles of louvered roofs – traditional and modern style.
The traditional style of louvered roof is a classic design, available in standard colors of bronze, sandstone, and white. If you like the look of a pergola – the classic design with regularly spaced lattice beams that go from one side to the other of the frame – this is probably the louvered roof for you. These pergolas are backed by a Limited Lifetime (Transferrable) Warranty.
The modern style provides a more contemporary aesthetic, available in standard colors of white, sand, bronze, pewter, or slate that that will complement any architectural design. When the roof is closed on these louvered roofs, it is watertight and creates the look of a tongue and groove ceiling. Finishes and materials for the modern style are warrantied for 15 years while electrical and drive actuators are covered for five years.
